What
accounts will the VNB Debit Card access?
At a Virginia National Bank ATM, you will be able to access
up to 6 of your checking and money market accounts. VNB DebitCard
purchases will be withdrawn only from the account you designate
as your primary checking account. For regulatory reasons, your
primary account may not be a money market account.

Are
there any fees associated with the VNB Debit Card or ATM Card?
No. There is no sign-up or annual fee for the VNB Debit Card.
Transactions at VNB ATMs and cash dispensers are free. ATMs
that are not operated by VNB may apply a surcharge to your transaction;
this is charged by the company that owns the ATM, not by Virginia
National Bank. Visa® does not allow merchants to charge you a
fee for using the card for signature transactions.

How
do I activate my VNB Debit Card?
For security reasons, your VNB Debit Card must be used at an
ATM before it is activated for making purchases. All you need
to do is insert the card and enter your PIN number to activate
the card.

Why use a VNB Debit Card?
| |
Worldwide
Acceptance: The Visa® logo transforms your VNB Debit Card
into a check card that can be used to make purchases worldwide. |
| |
Convenience:
The common hassles and procedures involved in getting
a check approved are eliminated. |
| |
Confidentiality:
Whether using a PIN or signing a receipt, the only information
provided to the merchant by the issuer is approval or
denial of the transaction. No additional ID or information
is required (i.e., Social Security number, phone number,
etc.) |
| |
Money
Management: Every purchase and ATM withdrawal appears
on your monthly VNB checking account statement, including
the date, place, and amount. This provides an easy way
to track spending and is a key benefit over cash. |
| |
Peace of Mind: One easy phone call prevents loss of money,
replaces the card, and limits your liability. |
| |
No
Finance Charges: Unless you access a VNB overdraft line
of credit, you'll pay no finance charges. |
| |
One
Less Bill: The money you spend comes from your VNB checking
account automatically, so there's never a bill or a late
charge. |

Can
I get cash back on my VNB Debit Card?
Many merchants, such as grocery stores, will allow you to take
"cash back" when making a check card purchase. They
will only allow this with PIN-based transactions, for obvious
security reasons. The neat thing about getting cash back is
that doing this will save you a trip to an ATM and allow you
to avoid possible surcharge fees.

What
if I have a damaged VNB Debit Card or ATM Card?
When using your card, if the ATM machine spits the card out
as soon as you insert it into the card reader slot, that indicates
that the magnetic strip on the back is damaged. Call us so we
can issue a new card to you. Do not attempt to insert a damaged
(i.e., split, bent, etc.) card into any ATM machine.

Can
I use my VNB Debit Card or ATM Card internationally?
In most cases, yes. Neither VNB Debit Cards nor ATM Cards
will work in Turkey or Romania. We strongly recommend that
you consider testing your card and familiarizing yourself
with ATM and Debit Card rules and restrictions before you
leave the country. Credit cards are always preferable to check/debit
cards, as there is no risk of your account being wiped out.
